Buying a piano is exciting and, for most people, bewildering. The price range is enormous, the differences between instruments are real but hard to hear if you do not know what to listen for, and a bad purchase is expensive to undo.

Our consultancy exists to make that decision a straightforward one. We take the time to understand your level, your intentions, your room and your budget, and then give you a direct recommendation — which kinds of piano suit you, which brands are worth their price, and where to buy.

Tuning

Basic to advanced, by technicians who play.

A piano holds around eighteen tonnes of string tension, and it drifts. How far it has drifted since its last tuning determines how much work bringing it back will take — which is why a piano tuned regularly is cheaper to maintain than one rescued every few years.

Our technicians work by ear and with current electronic tuning tools, on every variant of the instrument.

Maintenance

Annual preventive care, so the instrument outlives you.

Buying a piano is the beginning of the relationship, not the end of it. A well-maintained instrument can be handed down through generations; a neglected one becomes unplayable within a decade, and Pune’s humidity is not kind to them.

We offer annual preventive maintenance packages covering tuning, polishing, pedal servicing, and interior and exterior cleaning.

Moving

Handled by people who understand what they are carrying.

Moving a piano is not a job for a general removals crew. It needs manpower, the right equipment, and — most importantly — people who understand that the object they are carrying is a musical instrument rather than a heavy piece of furniture.

Our team disassembles, wraps, transports, reassembles and places the instrument under supervision throughout.

Repairs

Diagnosis to resolution, with a warranty.

We repair pianos of most types, models and brands — from a single sticking key to substantial action work. Replacement parts are chosen for quality rather than for the lowest cost, and our work carries a warranty.

If an instrument is genuinely beyond economic repair we will tell you so plainly, rather than quoting for work that is not worth doing.

Rentals

We rent pianos across Pune, long-term and short-term, delivered to you.

A word on climate

Pune is harder on pianos than most people realise.

Monsoon humidity followed by a dry, hot summer moves wood, and a piano is mostly wood under enormous tension. Instruments here need more attention than the manufacturer's schedule assumes — which is why an annual maintenance package usually costs less than the repairs it prevents.
